Foundation

October 1932
The Shibuya Medical Association is founded. The association is at the time quartered at the chairman’s home.

November 1942
The association is restructured as the Shibuya Branch of Tokyo Medical Association.

July 1948
The association is incorporated as the Shibuya Medical Association.


Dedicated Location

August 1953
The association aquires one room of the Miyamasuzaka Building

June 1960
The association relocates to a two story house on Kamidori (currently Dougenzaka).


Creation of the Medical School and Relocation

April 1966
The Practical Nurse School attached to the Shibuya Medical Association (later Vocational Nursing School attached to the Shibuya Medical Association) is designated as a training school by Tokyo Municipality.

September 1967
The association relocates to a three stories building it bought in Sakuragaoka (currently: site of the former Medical Association building).

October 1974
The Association building in Sakuragaoka is extended.

Relocation

September 2010
The Medical Association leases the 9th floor of the Shibuya Cultural Center Owada. The association administration moves to its current location at the 9th floor of the Shibuya Cultural Center Owada.

November 2010 
The cancer screening center and medical office moves to its current location at the 1st floor of the Shibuya Cultural Center Owada.

Relocation of the Medical School

March 2011
The Vocational Nursing School attached to the Shibuya Medical Association moved to the leased 9th floor of the Shibuya Cultural Center Owada.

Restructuration

April 2013
The Shibuya Medical Association changes its status from a Incorporated Association (社団法人) to a General Incorporated Association (一般社団法人).

March 2020
The Vocational Nursing School attached to the Shibuya Medical Association is closed.
